What Are Features of 6063 Aluminium Sheet

It has excellent processing performance, excellent weldability, extrudability and electroplating property, good corrosion resistance, toughness, easy polishing and excellent anodizing effect. 6063 aluminum is a low alloyed Al-Mg-Si series high plasticity alloy. It has many valuable features:

The quenching temperature range is wide, and the quenching sensitivity is low. 3. It has excellent welding performance and corrosion resistance, no tendency of stress corrosion cracking. Among heat-treatable aluminum alloys, Al-Mg-Si alloys are the only alloys without stress corrosion cracking.

4. After processing, the surface is very smooth and easy to anodize and color. The disadvantage is that after quenching, if it is parked at room temperature for a period of time, it will have an adverse effect on the strength in terms of aging.

Applicable temperature

The melting temperature of 6063 aluminum alloy is above 655 degrees Celsius, the extrusion temperature of 6063 aluminum profile is 490-510 degrees Celsius, and the extrusion barrel temperature is 420-450 degrees Celsius.
