                            Aluminum Foil for Lithium Battery

                             SHARE

Aluminum foil is a key material in the anode of lithium batteries. According to CNKI statistics, the amount of aluminum foil for 1GWh lithium batteries is about 600-800 tons. Because of the optimistic market prospects of lithium battery aluminum foil, more aluminum foil paper manufacturers are involving the production of battery aluminum foil.

Aluminum foil battery can be divided into power battery foil, consumer battery foil and energy storage battery foil. Among them, power battery foil currently has the largest demand, accounting for more than 50%, and the consumer battery aluminum foil market is basically saturated.

Some analysts have pointed out that in the future, the demand for power battery foil will continue increase, and the market of aluminum foil for energy storage batteries will have more share.

What is the trend of aluminum foil battery? The aluminum foil for the anode has been reduced 16μm to 14μm, then to 12μm. Now many battery manufacturers have realized mass production with 10 μm aluminum foil, some even are 8 μm.

The copper foil is for the cathode. Its thickness has been also reduced from 12μm to 10 μm, and then 8 μm. At present, most battery manufacturers use 6μm for mass production, and some manufacturers are developing 5μm or 4μm.

With the aluminum foil thickness decreases, the areal density also decreases accordingly, and the weight of the battery is naturally smaller.

Haomei offers you the common battery aluminum foil ranging from 10 microns to 50 microns. The aluminum alloys cover 1060, 1050, 1145, 1235,etc. The common tempers are O, H14, H24, H22, H18,etc. Get quotation directly by emailing us: sale@alumhm.com.
