Different Processing of Aluminum Coil Stock

With the wider application of the aluminum coil stock, its processing methods has also been richer. There are six processing methods for the surface treatment of the aluminum coil stock to get a better visual effect.

                            1. Sandblasting. It makes use of the high-speed sand flow to roughen the metal surface. It will make the surface of the aluminum coil obtain a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness, and improve the mechanical properties of the surface of the aluminium coil. At the same time, it will improve the aluminum coil’s coloring effect.

                            2. Polish: We can get mill finish aluminum coil through polishing. The polishing process is mainly divided into: mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, and electrolytic polishing. After mechanical polishing and electrolytic polishing, the aluminum coil surface can be close to the mirror surface of stainless steel.

                            3. Wire drawing: We can get the brushed aluminum coil through wire drawing. The brushed aluminum coil can be made into straight grain, chaotic grain, thread grain, corrugated grain and spiral grain, etc. The metal matte shines with fine hair luster, showing a sense of fashion and technology.

                            4. Highlight: It uses a precision carving machine with high rotating speed to cut the parts to highlight it. The brightness of the cutting highlights is affected by the speed of the milling drill bit.

                            5. Anodizing: Anodizing refers to the electrochemical oxidation of metals or alloys. Anodizing can not only solves the shortcomings of aluminum surface hardness and wear resistance, but also extends the service life of aluminum and enhance its beauty.

                            6. Two-color anodizing: Two-color anodizing refers to the anodizing of the aluminum coil and giving different colors to a specific area. Two-color anodizing has a higher cost due to the messy process.

Once you make your choice, don't agonize over it.
